Diane Levitan, VMD, Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine, is the founder of Mobile Veterinary Ultrasound & Endoscopy, PC, working with Dr. Richard Reid for over 15 years. She was also the founder and first owner of the Center for Specialized Veterinary Care and The Compassionate Care Center and currently owns and runs Peace Love Pets Veterinary Care in Commack, NY. Her expertise spans all aspects of veterinary internal medicine. Dr. Levitan graduated with high honors from the University of Michigan and earned her veterinary degree at the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine, also with honors. She did an internship at the Animal Medical Center in NYC and her residency in small animal internal medicine at Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine. She has advanced training in ultrasound and hyperbaric medicine as well. A board certified specialist in small animal internal medicine, she has also performed clinical research; lectured and taught courses in ultrasound, endoscopy and laparoscopy; published in veterinary journals; and served as a consultant for many businesses. She has served as the Chief Medical Officer of PetWatch, Inc. and currently acts as a veterinary medicine and business consultant and media veterinarian. She has begun to give a great deal of time and effort to shelter medicine, pet overpopulation and animal welfare. She serves on the Board for Veterinary Medicine for the NY State Education Department and strives to educate veterinarians, veterinary support staff and clients about what veterinary medicine has to offer today and how simple it is to give people and their pets what they want and deserve.
